Alpha Golf Outing

The Alpha Golf Open brings local business and community leaders together for a day of spirited competition to benefit the youth education and leadership development programs of the non-profit Delta Gamma Lambda Foundation (DGLF).

The Alpha Golf Open is an 18 hole four person scramble, with team competition in several divisions, as well as individual skills contest for longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.

On course beverages, great door prizes, awards and a cookout style luncheon immediately following golf make the Alpha Golf Open enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels.

Queen City Derby Party

The region’s premier derby party experience, the Queen City Derby Party (QCDP) is a day party centered on the running of the Kentucky Derby. It is a unique spectacle that brings together a diverse mix of patrons for the purpose of fundraising while enjoying a festive perspective on the traditions of the race. The inaugural party, held in 2016, garnered the support of numerous corporate and individual partners.

In 2017, over 500 wonderfully dressed people came and partied with a purpose. Also, across two years the event has raised over $20,000 for the Delta Gamma Lambda Foundation.

Theodore M. Berry Scholarship Gala

The annual Delta Gamma Lambda Foundation Theodore M Berry Beautillion and Scholarship Gala, established in 1989, provides financial support for programs and community service activities of Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The brothers host a gala introducing and honoring the achievements of outstanding African-American male high school students and recognizing community leaders who focus on youth.
