The Cincinnati native and Alpha Alpha initiate makes the seventh round pick to Cleveland
The Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated congratulates Brother Jowon Briggs on being drafted to the Cleveland Browns during this year's 2024 NFL Draft, in the Brown’s seventh round pick as Defensive Tackle!
Born September 2001, Brother Briggs was an All-American football player at local Walnut Hills High School. After starting his freshman year at the University of Virginia, Briggs came back to Cincinnati where he was a Team Captain for the University of Cincinnati Football team and 1st Team All-Conference while graduating with a degree in Software Development. Briggs was a member of the Bearcats' College Football Playoff team in 2021 and started five of the final six games, finishing the season with 43 tackles, according to WLWT.
