Delta Gamma Lambda Partners with Local Organizations for Health Awareness and Training to Celebrate Black History Month
On Saturday, February 4, 2023, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter partnered with the Center For Closing the Health Gap and True Community to offer free CPR training to those who registered in the greater Cincinnati area. This class was the first of two training sessions taking place throughout the month of February.
In honor of Black History Month, the organizations partnered for the second year. Closing the Health Gap is a grassroots organization that works to build a culture of health in Cincinnati - in order to eliminate racial and ethnic health disparities through advocacy, education, and community outreach. True Community's mission is to structurally improve the well-being of our communities. Individuals that completed the class received CPR certification, on site.
You can still register for the second class happening on Wednesday, February 22, from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Center For Closing Health Gap, located at 3120 Burnet Avenue #201. To register click here.
