One-thousand people in the US die from cardiac arrest every day. Performing CPR can triple a person’s chance of survival. The time to get certified in life-saving skills is before tragedy strikes, not after.
This February the Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter is partnering with True Community Incorporated and The Center for Closing the Health Gap to host free First Aid, CPR, and AED training. Sessions are open to the public and will be held every Monday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. throughout the month at the Jewish Hospital Professional Building located at 3120 Burnet Avenue Suite #201.
According to Dukehealth.org, there’s only an 18% chance of receiving lifesaving CPR in marginalized communities. This is nearly 30% below the nationwide average. Help us meet our goal of getting 100 individuals certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED.
