The men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Delta Gamma Lambda chapter and the DGL Youth Foundation, in partnership with the Freestore Foodbank are continuing to help provide relief to families who have been afflicted by the pandemic in Hamilton County.
We continue to see the need to serve the Greater Cincinnati community dealing with the variants of the Covid-19 pandemic. For those impacted by the virus through health or job loss, especially in communities of color we encourage you to come out on Saturday, October 30 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Carson Elementary located at 4323 Glenway Ave to pick up your free food package of food, good for a family of four.
While supplies last, the Alphas will load a free food package into vehicles for a “contactless” experience. In light of the fraternity’s mission of providing service and advocacy for the community, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and the DGL Youth Foundation hopes this event will help ease the burden of hunger from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Feel free to spread the word to families that could use the help by means of word-of-mouth and sharing the posts from Cincinnati Alpha’s social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
