As we near the end of the COVID-19 pandemic there is still the need to help families who may have been affected by the virus through health or job loss, especially in communities of color. The men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Delta Gamma Lambda chapter, and the DGL Youth Foundation are continuing to help provide relief to families who have been afflicted by the pandemic in Hamilton County.
We invite the community to the DGL Mobile Food Drive taking place Saturday, June 26 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Rothenberg Preparatory Academy, located at 241 E Clifton Ave. This event is in partnership with the Freestore Foodbank. While supplies last, the Alphas will load a free food package, good for a family of four, into vehicles for a “contactless” experience. Dedicated Senior Medical Center will also be onsite to speak with families about Medicare and Medicaid options.
In light of the fraternity’s mission of providing service and advocacy for the community, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and the DGL Youth Foundation hopes this event will help ease the burden of hunger from the COVID-19 pandemic.
